Yes, this was painted!

Even friends that knew what I was going to do, looked at the wall and asked me when I'd had it bricked. At the time, the condo was on the market. I even had prospective buyers that believed that it had to be wallpaper. I had to show the step-by-step photos to one person to prove that I'd painted it.

I tried for over a year and a half to get work doing this professionally. When we moved from Chicago out to Island Lake, I thought that would do it; however, there was a couple in the area that had the market sewn up.

Next thing I knew, I'd discovered computers.
And the saga continues...
